About Us

Buckenbah Collective is a hub for local business, community and commerce in Geurie.

Where:

Geurie is in the Central West of New South Wales, 30 minutes east of Dubbo.

Our building is located in between the local petrol station and the pub in Geurie! [Next to the Geurie car-yard!]

We are on the main highway - the Mitchell Highway - with heaps of parking. A bus stop is across the road, and the train station is 100 metres away. You can get a taxi from Dubbo, but it costs about $80.00…

Who:

We are a small group of local people, who enjoy investing in local buildings & slowly renovating them.

Rural and regional Australia is filled with great people who often want a small commercial or retail place to operate a business.

We enjoy seeing potential, and then working our behinds off - to turn a vision into reality.

How:

We LOVE people who have an idea, and make things happen. We pride ourselves on walking the walk, not just talking the talk….

We really enjoy people who are honest, transparent and take pride in what they do.

We live by the motto “measure twice, cut once”, and are guided by professional advisers, and work alongside registered local tradespeople.

Why:

Some of us are local farmers, and like many other local farmers, we think in terms of ‘decades’. If life is good and kind, we are likely to be farming in the Geurie region for next 50 years, so it makes sense to invest in our local village and create opportunities for everyone.

Others of us are seriously proud to be part of Regional Australia. We want to learn how to invest in small rural and regional areas, and hopefully inspire others to do similar things.

We can’t “be” who we can’t “see”… and we love being able to prove that anything is possible in Geurie - with time and hard work.

In addition to commercial or retail business ventures, we are passionate about affordable residential housing for Geurie. We are always on the lookout for the opportunity to help out and create accommodation options for everyone in our community.

Cheers,

Buckenbah Collective
